Conducting Personal Research

As we all know, the first step in crafting a strategy is to understand the market and its underlying trends. In that regard, I've spent each of the last two weekends researching weddings and I've learned a great deal. In this same time Lauren has been feverishly planning and we officially have set a date. Well, sort of because the contracts aren't signed with the venue yet. Anyway, expect the big news to come down the pipe soon :)

As part of my "research" last weekend, I was a guest at my friends Anthony and Megan's wedding in Athens, GA. It was a great time and I was so excited to be able to celebrate with them! I spent most of my time with a beer in my hand rather than my camera, so I took only a couple of pictures. They turned out pretty good though:

The great time that I had in Athens celebrating with two people who are going places was accentuated this past weekend by another wedding of two more of my outstanding friends. This time the venue was Akumal, Mexico, and the guests of honor were Tony and Jody:

Once again, I had an amazing time and learned a ton about planning a wedding. I don't think I'll be printing out the programs in my boxers 30 minutes before the wedding, thanks though Tony! I would, however, like to be able to dance like them:
